I picked up a screw in my left rear tire and of course it's in my sidewall. The Eagle F1 GS-D3's that are on the car are only 9 months old and plenty of tread. Tirerack is out of stock of these tires and I need to get this tire replaced. Any other place you guys recommend to purchase tires from?

Call Jay Eppie @ Eppies Tire Service, Grant & Bustleton Ave, NE Philadlephia. If you do call, be sure to ask for Jay and tell him you are a CCDV member.

If Eppies doesn't have it you can always go to Carlisle this weekend and probably find one. There's always at least one big tire vendor there. I got a flat the night before Carlisle a few years back. I bummed a ride and came home with a new one cheap.

Going to be in TX/Mexico next week on business so I won't be able to make it to Carlisle. :(

As said go to Eppies, Jay beats Tire Rack prices most every time.

Just to follow up, called Jay to see about getting a GS-D3. He said he'd call me back in 30 minutes or so and I didn't hear from him for two hours. Called again and he said he'll get back to me at the end of the day or early the next day. Never heard from him after that.

Goodyear dealer found a tire and it was shipped up from MD and it will be installed on Friday.

You have to go to Eppies, I kid you not when I tell you many times Jay is on 3 phones at once, no excuses but some times I don't get a call back and I have known him and done business with him for decades.

Jay is a great guy to buy tires from and that's where I've gone for many years, but Eppie's is NOT as organized as it looks :D, plus he's a bit short handed right now. Give him another chance when you need tires.

I know, I know.....!
Its the Carrier 7.5 ton package rooftop HVAC unit!

If you REALLY want to see organized, check out Jay's office in the back! ;ae

But seriously Jay feels bad about this....
So bad that he is coming to the meeting on Thursday to apologize and offer tremendous discounts & some special offers to us! He is also bringing the MAIN Goodyear rep for even more special stuff..

I might even have to attend this one...

I can understand being busy. I really had an immediate need and if Goodyear can't find the tire I'm pretty sure a local shop like Eppies isn't going to be able to get one. My only hope with him was if he had a spare GS-D3 sitting in the back somewhere which I doubt he has. :)

I will give him another chance when I need tires again. He's a little out of the way since I live in center city and work in Horsham.

Jay got me GS-D3's 2 years ago, 2, 265/35x18 and 2, 295/35x18 when NO ONE, including Tire Rack could get them.

All I heard from everybody was NATIONAL BACKORDER.

Jay had all 4 tires in 10 days. And those are very hard to find sizes, even now.

As Carl mentioned, you really have to be there. Once you go, once you meet Jay, you will appreciate Jay AND the prices you pay... and hopefully feel it was worth the trip.

A GREAT guy.

As Glenn said Eppies got me 26's for my one Escalade when no one including Tire Rack could get them, I would say that Eppies sells more tires in a week than most Goodyear stores sell in a month, believe it or not. :)

A GREAT guy.
I remember seeing your tires sitting there when I had the new wheels mounted on Arleens 98. I asked Jay about buying them and he told me they were yours.
Jay gave my son a GREAT deal on Toyo Proxis.
