Well, I guess looking back there were 4 initial causes that made me become a Corvette nut. The first one was when while in high school ,I watched a 1961 Vette smoke a brand new jaguar XKE on York Road right north of Jenkintown. Then a couple of years later, while in the Army, my best buddy invited me to ride with him from Ft. Belvoir, VA to Boston, MA on a warm Friday night. What a ride in a '63, 340 horse roadster with the top off. I knew then that some day I had to get a Corvette. Then later, in the 70's I worked with a guy who owned a 76 blue coupe. He would take a month off every other summer and drive out to California or Arizona and all over the country with his wife. Then in 85 he bought a C4 and stopped at my house the next day and let me drive it. The final straw was when Nancy and I were still dating ,I took my car to be serviced in Doylestown. There was a used C5 on the lot. I asked the annoying salesman if I could drive it. He said sure. I then called Nancy and asked her to come up and ride with me. That was it! I had to have one! I soon ordered my 99. Joined the club in 2000 and then later ordered our C6 from Bryner's and never looked back. Took a while, and a lot of grief in between, but, we did it. Nancy & Mike
