Here is some important info updates for Corvettes for a Cure - July 20th, 2008 in Phoenixville, PA.
** VOLUNTEERS **
If you are going to be at the show and could help with parking, registration and anything else we may need help with, please find me (Adam) when you are available and I'll let you know if/where we can use you.
** DONATIONS **
This year I have been doing something new. I have been campaigning to many people... family, friends, forum buddies, co-workers, etc to help raise money for Corvettes for a Cure from anyone and everyone that would like to help raise money for our charity, the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter. This includes people that won't be attending, and even those that do not own a Corvette. So far, it has been pretty successful!
I'd like to ask for your help here too. If you do not plan to attend, please consider making a donation to us in your absence. Doing so is really easy... You can do it right on our website! Just look for the "Can't Make the Show?" heading on the right side of the home page. Please make your contribution by Friday, July 18th! Also, please spread the word to your family, friends, co-workers, etc to see if they'd like to help the cause. Many families have had to deal with the consequences of Alzheimer's and will hopefully be happy to help.

** SHOW NEWS **
We have a lot of exciting new updates for you so please take a few minutes to read ALL the important info below.
NEW LOCATION: Please don't forget, we are NOT going to be at the Kmart this year. The NEW LOCATION is the Center for Arts & Technology Pickering Campus located at 1580 Charlestown Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 It's only 1.7 miles from our old location. A link to a map of the site can be found on our website on the right side. It will allow you to get driving directions from your address!
T-SHIRTS: While we cut costs this year and did not create CFAC t-shirts, the Alzheimer's Association was nice enough to donate about 50 T-Shirts from their 2007 Memory Walk! We will be giving these away on a first-come-first-served basis. As you arrive, please make your way to the registration booth. Upon check in, you'll be offered a shirt provided they still remain.
PHOTOS: We will have a new event photographer on site this year. They will be photographing each Vette as you enter the venue. Please be prepared to stop to have your photo taken. There is no obligation to purchase and you will have all day to decide if/how you would like to purchase your photo. There will be many options available thanks to Photo Graphics - Digital Event Imaging.
PARKING: Provided the ground is dry, we'll be parking on a huge field. There will be plenty of room for hundreds of Vettes as well as your chairs and pop-up canopies. So come prepared for a much better set up than we had last year. If the ground is too wet, we'll have plenty of parking on the blacktop.
NEW FOOD: We are happy to announce that for 2008 we will have the great folks from Penalty Box Catering on site offering fresh made to order cheese steaks, meatball sandwiches and Italian sausage sandwiches throughout the event! So bring your appetites and your wallets... a portion of the proceeds from the food sales will be added to the collection for the Alzheimer's Association.
WATER ICE: Petrucci's Water Ice will be on site selling their delicious water ice and other goodies. Make sure to stop by as a portion of their sales will also be donated to our charity!
CHINESE AUCTION: We now have over great 60 prize items to give away from great vendors! Some items are worth hundreds of dollars! Every registered participant will get one free entry and can select which item they would most like to win and drop their entry ticket into the drawing for that item. Registrations and non-registrants will also have the opportunity to increase their chances of winning a particular item or multiple items by purchasing additional tickets for $1 a piece or $20 for a "wing-span" of tickets! A complete list of prizes can be seen on our website under the "Door Prizes" heading.
