I am interested in this event because it is for ill children, but I voluteered too fast. Getting into work this morning I noticed I have a meeting that will run from 8 am to 10 am on Saturday which means the quickest I can get to Willow Grove is going to be about 11 am.
Is help still needed??? and with not being able to get there till 11 am,,,can I still be utilized?

For those who have not participated in the past, the Fantasy Flight is a day for the children of Make-a-Wish that are terminally ill. The Navy has a passenger jet (Boeing-727 type) that they load the kids into and run them up and down the runway. After about 1/2 hour they unload the kids at another hanger where they get their gifts and lunch. Kids of all ages are happy to see the Corvettes.
Norm we have to be in place by close to 10 AM. If you just want to visit to see what it's like you are more than welcome.
Please remember that if you are going to come to this event you MUST have a drivers license, and proof of insurance with you. You must also have your seat belt on and obey the speed limits on base...no ifs ands or buts!!! Security is very tight.

How long will we be at the base. Just so I can plan the rest of the day around when we'll be out of there.

It won't work for me...Sorry...but for those you who can...for a lot of reasons ...I can say that my hat is off to you...having lived on both sides of this fence... I can also say that you may never know how much these kids and parents will appreciate and remember what you did.
I hope there is a great turn out. If I can get there, I will give each kid a Tootsie Roll Pop when they are sitting in you car.

Is there a rain date in case it snows??? I am assuming no one is going to take their Vette out in the snow, cinders and salt

From what Stan O'Leary told me there is no rain/ snow date. I told the lady yesterday when I droped off our donation that if the weather was bad that we wouldn't be there, "these cars do not do well in snow or ice".... As of now it looks like we are going to get snow all morning long on Sat.
