The weatherman is calling for the light drizzle to stop this morning, right or wrong I'm taking the Vette out for a cruise. I'm heading to Sonic Drive-in restaurant in Morgantown, PA about 50 miles from Willow Grove. Here is their website http://www.sonicdrivein.com/locator/locMap.do?transaction=locMap&recordId=5657&search1=0&search2=0

I'll be leaving from the Bennigans parking lot in Willow Grove by the Turnpike entrance at 1pm, if anyone else is interested I'll see you there.

Hey Don, I'd be up for that. Would you mind if I catch up with you at the rest stop after Plymouth Meeting?

I'll swing into the King of Prussia service plaza mile marker 328 on the way.

Hey Richy look in a mirror you look like you can use a cheesburger or 2. ;bl If you get any thinner i'd someday expect to see you in a Sally Struthers feed the hungry commercial.;bl  ;bl

Don, I took for granted you were going by way of the TP. We can take back roads if you want instead, otherwise I'll be at the rest stop at about 1:15.

Don't mind Richy, he's still upset because while swimming in the new condo pool someone thought he was drowning and tossed him a Cheerio. :D

It doesn't pay to be a nice guy. Here I was just giving Joe some friendly advice & look at the abuse I get.Maybe all this aggression will disappear after you & Don have pigged out?

UPDATE: Don & I had a good run out to Sonic. I should have counted the car stalls while there, that would make a great stop for a cruise one day.

We had even more fun on the way home with the use of Don's cheap GPS. By "cheap", I don't mean it didn't cost a lot. I mean it's particularly frugal when it comes to choosing routes.

Most of you are probably familiar with normal GPS units which give you an option to avoid toll roads. Well, Don's does one step better. It doesn't actually rule out a toll road, it merely reroutes you past those money sucking toll booths. That's right, it very cleverly finds all the emergency access ramps along the TP and suggests carrying bolt cutters for those pesky chains. Why waste valuable time and money when you can cruise Dukes of Hazard style crashing through barricades. What's a little body work when you get to "stick it to the man!" ;bl

All kidding aside, we hit some nice windy roads on the way back. Well worth the trip, had a great time. Thanks Don.

It's a long drive on nice roads for average food, they do have some car events there when the weather is nice. ;)

I had met up with some of the Corvetteforum guys the last two summers and cruised from Sonic (Morgantown) to Sonic (Ephrata) just for the hell of it. They are very cool places. There is also a Sonic on rte 30 on the east side of Lancaster (near Outlets which may interest the ladies)

I know plenty of back roads between those spots, very cool back roads too..

The Sonic in Ephrata does a Toys for Tots thing every year too around Thanksgiving.

BUT, I don't own a Corvette
