I am at a decision point to sell my 92 which is an automatic and replace with another C4 or possibly C5 that has a six speed manual. My 92 has low mileage and in great shape. I was considering having it converted to a manual but have reservations on make that level of modifications to the car. I have been told the conversion could run in the 5k cost range. Has anyone converted their transmission and were you satisfied with the outcome. Will this de-value the car since the numbers would no longer match? Comment would be appreciated, thanks

Here's a link to a recent post on the Corvette Forum that might be some help to you: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1922445&highlight=tranny+conversion

FYI, I was at A&T Chevrolet in Telford picking up some parts yesterday. In their showroom they have 91 White Covertible with a white top and red interior and manual transmission, 33,000 miles for sale for 19K. I have zero clue what the book value is but the car appeared to be in excellent condition.

Call Dale Cherry, they converted several C4's from the junkie 4+3 to the 6 speed ZF's, and I believed the did automatic to stick in some C4's.
