Not knowing exactly what I am doing yet, I dialed in a 12.30 in the first round (the car was running strong all day), and wound running a 12.33. WOW!!!!!! Talk about being excited........ the second round, I dailed in a 12.32, expecting to run slightly slower because of the heat (your suggestion too), and happen to run against Joe Blass, who I did not know at the time. He dialed in a 12.20 and I knew I was in trouble. Up until that run, I was hooking very well, with no spin apparent, but of course I then proceeded to spin out of the box and ran a 12.9. Oh, well, at least I know what I did that was wrong (too much throttle at launch) and will do better next time.
