To all car owners , PLEASE have your car at the Grange BEFORE 10 PM on Friday night. We need to have everything done so that on Saturday all we have to do is uncover the cars and turn the lights on. I will be at the Grange around 1 PM and the set up crew will be marking the location for the cars at that time. If all goes perfect we could be spotting cars by 3 PM. Also remember that your car needs to be uncovered by 9 AM on Saturday and Sunday. If your car is covered and you do no wish to allow club members to uncover your car please, be on time so we can be ready for our guests..
There will be NO smoking in the buildings, butt cans will be placed at the 4 doors. Please use them if you smoke.
Security will be provided by club members and the Newtown Police Dept. (over night).
I'd like to thank everyone connected with the Cavalcade for your help and time donated so far.... All we need now is some sun !!!!!
Remember the last Cavalcade workers meeting at the VFW on Wednesday night at 8PM. Last chance to purchase your Cavalcade shirt at pre show prices... this is a beautiful shirt.... BILL

I just want to know "Who's in charge of the weather!?"
From www.weather.com
Fri, Jun 06: Partly Cloudy 77°/56°, 10 % chance of precip
Sat, Jun 07: Scattered T-Storms 77°/60°, 30 % chance of precip
Sun, Jun 08: Showers 75°/56°, 50 % chance of precip
Hopefully we'll be able to salvage at least one nice day out the weekend (like last year).

<<I DON'T CARE IF IT RAINS>>
... but, because of the rain ... wasn't last year a break even (more or less ... vs. making a decent profit)? Sunday was literally a wash-out!

Steve... I have no control over the weather and I'm looking at it as a half full glass not a half empty glass... :D If it rains then I'll still have a great day and spend it with club members....If it's sunny then I'll still have a great day to spend with club members.....but I do wish that it could be a sunny, 80* day. :)

Sorry Bill ... I misunderstood what you were saying. You made Lemonade out of Lemons! NOW I understand! Must be too much moisture in the clouds! ;)

By the way guys, "isolated thunderstorms" is supposed to mean 0 to 15% chance of rain. "Scattered thunderstorms" is 15 to 30% chance of rain. If that's all we get with a little sun peeking out from the clouds now and then, guess what, it'll be great!! ;yn And I totally agree with Bill. ;yn We still have a great time with all our Vette Buddies, regardless of the weather!! ;bt;bt I know we want to raise money, but, if we even break even it's a success. I hate this stinky weather as much as anyone, but, I refuse to be a "crepe hanger"!! Let's do it guys!!! ;gab

---Yes ... assuming you get your car in on Friday ... and take it out on Sunday!

Yep, and you only get hit by one out of every three raindrops, so, you only get a third as wet.... ;tt
