Hey guys and girls--does or did anyone ever have just lap belts on a 69 and changed over to a SAFER lap/chest set-up. A fellow member told me the mounting holes are behind the seat on all the C3's and contemorary corvette might have a complete unit. PROBLEM--what about my seats, they don't have the hole for the belt to go through! I wonder if they will still be usable without replacing my seats? Has anyone ever done such a conversion--any help is appreciated. Thanks, blkvette69

I don't have the holes in my seat on my '72 but you can just pull the belt around the side of the seat and over your shoulder then hook it on and it works fine

I was told the main support hole for the chest harness is behind a panel behind the seat and threaded into the coupes roof

Thanks Don, That answers one part, But does or did your car have the threaded hole for the chest harness hidden behind a rear panel on the side of the coupes top?? Thanks
