Gates open at 8:00 AM. First 500 cars.
If you have "good" reaction times (.130 to .075) you should have loads of fun!
Anyone else survive this one? After a ton of oil downs it hit the track's 7:30 curfew and they split $$$ in the 4th round. A long, long, long day. Doug and I were running the "14.0 index" class. :p

Long, long, long day is an understatement! I to got to the track at 7:30. After TWO full track oil downs And one car fire I got 3 runs. One time shot and two rounds. Wheel spin AND tire hop (never had that happen before!!?) thru the 60' had me run down my opponent, catch him hit the brakes, and break out by .009 in the 2nd round.
I stuck around to the curfew to watch Jim and Bob Trishman run. The curfew is 7:30 on Sundays.

You know, the last time at Englishtown, when I had a couple of minutes to wait before the last Corvette Challenge, I was talking with one of the tech guys. He worked where they wave you in for your burn out. He told me that the last time they had an "import versus whatever day" they had at least 26 break downs and track stops. The reason? Because most of these people have no idea what they're doing and their cars are either junk or unprepared!! :D Hate to say it, but, as bad as it is that's why I stick to either the "trophy marathon "or "Corvette Challenge". ;bt;bt

A few drivers stopped on the track and exit there vehicle to look at it. It was obvious that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Then the driver would drive off. I would throw that person off the track for the duration of the day. MANY IDIOTS were at the track racing and watching. Funny how they dont move for you when you are driving in the lanes or they cross over in front of you as if they are driving to a fire. One day there will be a huge fight due to some idiot or idiots doing something stupid. It is long over due.
A couple of years ago, I went at with someone in the lanes for leaning on my vehicle. He said that he owns a MB and that I had a SH*$ BOX. Needless to say flew over the car to take him down when 6 people were trying to hold me down - YES 6 people and I was still trying to snap his neck. What brought me to this level was that this was going on for over an hour of him bouncing and leaning on my vehicle. I asked him were exactly were his vehicle was and he was very vague in his answer. I told him what was going to happen to him and his vehicle - so there would be no surprises to him.
After diving over my vehicle, This person knew I was serious and was not going to take his crap from him or his friends. I told them what the rules were. One at a time and all of you will go to the hospital!!!
That is one of my Street Wars Event Adventures.

It was more then just leaning on the car - The details were that he was hanging on the car as if he was at a bar, Foot on bumper, bouncing his fat ass off the side of the car. Bouncing so hard that I thought someone fell onto the car. Oh, The car just came out of the body shop 2 days before with a complete paint job. It was an on going thing that I lost it after the words he said to me.

Rob, I probably would have reacted the same way. I wonder sometimes what it is with some people? As my Dad used to say, "The more I see the way people act, the more I like trees." ;yn I think that guy was lucky that you didn't knock his head off. See ya Saturday! ;bt
