I think I can speak for Bob Weiss that he will pass. Please have a moment of silence for his 71 LT-1 :(

Last night was certainly very informative.;yn I've been wanting to get my Vette dynoed too, but, after listening to "Flatbed Bob" preview his new and upcoming book; "How to blow up your engine, or , Five Easy Pulls that can be more painful than fun!!" :D I've decided to postpone this for a while. ;nn Maybe one day, I'll do it, but I'll have to find out if it'll violate the warranty! ;cb

Thanks, Jeff
Oil and Coolant Temps. Oil press. 5 pulls on an older motor may build up a lot of heat especially if done in rapid succession. Make sure you ask for the fan to be place. Also if numbers coming off are real close there really isn't a need to run 5 times. Having said that I had Joe run my LT4 5 times at the Cavalcade, he was at the wheel just to get a good baseline. I was happy with the numbers that I got and the job Joe, Kurt and Andy did. Thanks guys!;bt

Thanks Tony ;bc
Steve Long sent me an email stating at the end of each and every pull the vehicle should "coast" down to zero mph. DO NOT apply the brakes. Kurt also told me this, it will damage the dyno.
Seems pretty basic, coolant level topped off, oil full and watch pressure. Check operating temps .
Thank you ;bt Jeff

Jeff,
I believe what was meant was that the dyno should coast to a stop.( freewheeling) Not the driver of the test vehicle hitting the brakes. That would be TRAGIC!!

Thanks guys for giving Jeff the particulars! I appreciate it!

Jeff - do not let them run your engine over its red line. Your peak HP and TQ will not be that high up the RPM range, no need to stress the engine. The red line on your engine may be under 6000, just be careful.

I don't have the original motor in my car. If I run it up to ........say.......8000 rpm , I can put a real motor in it.
hmmmm Maybe I can try for more pieces than Bob;bl

If you have a Honda S2000 go for it. A Corvette L48 from the mid 70's - better stay under 6 grand!
