The CCDV racers really had their hands full yesterday. With weather conditions nearly perfect the only thing some of us had to contend with was traction issues. Ellis, Joe, Al, and Vince made it to the second round. Vince made it to the ladder but drew Ralph who was running super all day, cutting good lights and running his numbers. Vince broke out with a 12.8* on a 12.91 dial in. Mike red lighted in the first round by .001 second but picked up a prize doing so. I was running 13.0's and 13.1's all during time trials but during finals had bad wheel spin at the line and ran a 12.3, the worst run of the day for me. On the good side the car was running great and was chirping the tire's, 315's DR's, going into 4th at 95-98 mph. Was hoping to get into the 12's but that will have to wait. We had a couple of potential new members come along for the ride. Gary and Sherry(sic) in his Hondurous Maroon '61 and Harry and his daughter Nicky in his 03 Z06. Hope you guys like the adventure and will join the CCDV. This is only one aspect of this great Club.
