Dennis, thanks for the great run . It was quite a sight to be in line and see all of the various colors and years of 'Vettes on such a beautiful day. I loved driving that route. Unfortunately, I was the other guy that crashed, at least figuratively. My shifter locked up near East Bangor, and I had to be flatbedded home. I didn't want my son or myself to get under the car without having a jack stand. I just want to express my deepest appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Don Terranova , Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vogel, and Jim Lynch and his female friend for staying with me for 2 hours plus until the truck came and for the use of Don's cell phone. I sure wish the automobile clubs had customer service reps that understood the English language.
However , these club members are the greatest . I hope I can return the favor and help them or other members sometime. Since the car is grounded , or at least on a five mile leash for towing , by my better half , I have enough time to order and install the new linkage and shifter. Jim, you had some great pictures, even the one with just blue sky.

Our club members are the best - good luck with your repairs.

Doug... Sorry I didn't know who broke down, I knew that it was either you or Stan Fischer. After our little drive off route and being lost for a while we all made it home. A big "Thanks" to those who stayed to help, you guys/ ladies are what makes our club stand out!!!! I hope you get the car fixed and the other half gives you a longer leash to enjoy your beautiful car....
