As all of should know I am running the Craft Show for this years Cavalcade of Corvettes. As of today I have 30 Crafters signed up to participate. I could not be more delighted. I have arranged it so that the crafters will be able to set up on Friday night between the hours of 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The crafters will be arriving on Saturday around 7:00 am to set you. I will need volunteers to help with the set up of tables on Friday night. I will also need help on Saturday with the selling of 50/50 chances, helping the crafters with anything they need and watching tables so the crafters can get food and etc.

If anyone knows of anyone that would like to purchase a table there are still tables available.

Another venture is the Bake Sale. This will be total profit for the club. All I need is volunteers to either Bake something or Bring something. If most of the club members who will be bringing their cars to the show brought a little something to sell think how
much money could be raised from all the goodies to choose from.

Please let me know if you can help out Friday, Saturday or Bake something.

Thanks for all your anticipated help.

The Bake Sale is a good and profitable idea Barb. But, shouldn't the Craft Vendors be responsible for their own tables?
In the past CCDV didn't supply members to watch tables for vendors. It could also cause a problem if something is missing or gets broken.
CCDV would be liable for anything that goes on at the tables while the vendor is away from his or her table.
Just my $.02 cents.

The only time I am looking for someone to watch a table is if the crafter has to use the bathroom or runs out to get something to eat. I have been doing craft shows for over five years and have never encountered a problem. I understand and appreciate your concern. Hopefully each crafter has someone along to help them and we won't have to worry about this situation happening.

Barb - I spoke to Mark Krapf last week. He volunteered to help you on Friday, bring something for the bake sale and help you with the Craft Show Saturday.

Thanks for all your hard work.;bt

If I bake something, no one will want to eat it, let alone buy it. :) I will stop at Cramer's Bakery and pick something up. It would be great if the Bake Sale is as successful as the Craft Show you have worked so hard at. The baked goods don't have to be works of art, cup cakes, brownies, cookies, simple layer cakes are all popular items.

I'm sure a good RUM CAKE would go mover big with some of the members. But we won't mention any names.

Does the Club still buy donuts for the workers, etc? If so, we could sell the leftovers!?!
