Has anyone heard when GM will make the PAL available? I need my iPod tunes in my 06!

Isn't there a simple utility to convert your iPod music to standard MP3 format yet? The C6 CD players support MP3 playback (although some early versions need a GM software update). Just keep the song titles to less than 30 characters long.

I don't have an iPod but I've read it's possible to do the conversion with it's own software. BUT you first have to burn your iTunes to an audio CD FIRST and THEN the software will allow you to convert the audio CD to MP3's. I would think there are many utilities out there that allow you to skip this step.

I have no intention to ever buy an iPod. I embraced the standard MP3 format over 15 years ago, way before iPod was ever invented. It just goes to show what marketing can do.

BE careful when any ipod adapter that jumps in between radio receiver as it can cause communication problems on class 2 line and car will appear dead.

YES, the 12 pin connector plugs into the back of the radio

I installed one in my 07' Escalade because GM was too cheap to install one, it was a Nucleus Ipod adapter, the install took less than 5 minutes, it was plug and play. No other problems (but as Steve said these things can cause problem in some cars) been using it for a few months now.
