I am planning on tinting my side and rear windows. Does anyone know of a good reputable company who has experience in tinting C5 windows?

Finally got around to get my windows tinted. That Smoking Moe is quite a guy but he did a great job. Thanks for the recomendo.... I hope the cops let me alone. Have it looking just the way I want it.

Norm,
I hope you don't mind me asking, but roughly how much did it set you back? I have been thinking about getting it done myself. Did the price depend on how dark the coating was?

$260 and it took him 3.5 hours. The tint shade has nothing to do with the price. You can get what ever percentage tint you want. The back window on the Vette is known to be a bear to tint because of the dots on the top and the curves. I am very happy with the job he did and consider it money well spent.

I put on black cherry side marker and tail lamps. I've been trying to go with the lean mean look and the tinted windows really set everthing off.

The only problem all of this is dark gray as far being legal is concerned. So I am hoping the cops leave me alone. So far the cops have ignored me or have given me nothing other than thumbs up.

If you ever find yourself pulling up to a light next to or near a cop, I'd suggest you roll both windows down. For your own benefit it will just make the situation easier.

They do NOT like being near a car that they can not see inside of and I don't blame them these days....

How did you like Moe's Bull Dogs?
When I was there a month ago he was telling me how much work the rear windows are on the C-5/ C-6s

Norm, they should not bother you, I have had tinted windows in most of my cars and trucks for over 20 years, the last time I got been pulled because of tint was when I was 19, about 100 years ago. :(

The Bull Dogs are part of the atmosphere and for sure aren't going to win any beauty contest. Then on the other hand they seem unlikely to roam out into the woods and roll over deer crap like my wife's Beagle does!

This guy does a great job and seems to have a pretty good low overhead business. Moe told me he tinted 1480 + cars last year. I did a little bit of math and am thinking that at the end of the day this guy makes more money than 95% of the CPS's in Pennsylvania.

He has done all our cars/trucks the last 19-20 years. :)
