My companys computers picked up a virus over the weekend that crippled us for 24 hrs. It was real bad and cost me big $ to get back up and running. It came in via an e mail. One of my men opened an email attachment that was very well disguised. In a matter of a few hours we were completly down. Once you allow it to enter, it attaches to dos and it cripples your files. All I can say is that if you have important info, or you use your computer for business, I cannot stress how inportant it is to back up your files. It may be all you have left is your back up. be carefull and don't open any attachments if you can help it!

Joe Signore sent this around last week. It's worth posting again.
URGENT
DO NOT open any email that tells you it is a security update or anything else from Microsoft. There is a worm being sent around under the guise of a security update from Microsoft!
REMEMBER!!! Microsoft NEVER emails patches to end users, EVER!!! You MUST go to their websites to download anything for yourself.
Never accept a patch from someone if you don't know EXACTLY where they got it!... It's always better to download a patch for yourself from a trusted source.
I'm reminding all of you because there is a lot of activity in email with this "patch" going around.
