Has anyone in CCDV installed the C6 Z06 mud flaps/splash guards on a C5? If so how much of a pia was it?

Norm, PM Glennm27. I have heard him a couple of times
talk about that subject. I'm sure he has your answer(s)

There are posts on Corvette Forum about this. From what I've seen it's not that bad. The parts are somewhat flexible and don't require that much trimming.

I'm thinking about it for a winter project. With the 305's on the rear they pick up a bunch of small stones. I looked it over 4 or 5 times and it looks like an afternoon of work. Everyone has said the first side takes 3 times longer than the second side. Somewhat of a learning curve. I'd like to see if anyone has painted them to match the cars color.

I think I have to try it. I got the same problem you do with the 345's my quarter pannels are getting sand blasted.

Bill,

Don't paint them! I saw a picture somewhere with them painted and it looks horrible. You barely notice them when they are installed. They blend into the wheel wells. If you paint them it kind of highlights them.
