Hi all,
Went to Conte's yesterday. What a shop! Great guy too. We chatted a while about what entry level and 1st corvette means, maintence, what to look for, etc. Then we went to look a few specific vehicles. The first was the blue '89. Not quite in as good shape as the pictures let on, but a nice entry vehicle none the less. The second was a red '98, in beautiful shape.

Unfortunately, for both....I don't fit. Not for the reasons I would have thought though. 1st, my head was firmly in the roof. Couldn't even straighten up (in either the C-4 or C-5). Joe made sure the seats were as low as possible, and they were. Not a comfortable position at all. The 2nd "no fit" was my feet. I have size 13 EEE feet, and in the C-4 my feet overlapped the gas and brake. I guess if I went shoeless it would be ok, but that's not practial. The C-5 fixed the foot issue, but again, no head room.

So I guess, I'm physically out of the Corvette market. Really disappointing. Now to find a sports car with the head room I need ????

Sorry to hear about your situation about finding a Vette.
Try some other type of Muscle car.
SS Chevelle, Camaro, etc.
I'm sure you will find something to suit your needs.

I fit and I am 6'3" and wear 12 E's.

Actually, a mid-year coupe will accomodate a TALL individual. I have one with adequate head clearance.

Otherwise, a Chevelle or even Impala SS. But not quite a "Sports Car".

Get three or four Vertebrae removed and you fit in a C5 no problem.

Get a convertible!! You are only going to drive it when the weather is nice, so you keep the top down. Problem solved!

Hope you find something fun! We'll still let you drive with us... of course we can't be responsible for Don T's smart-alec comments, though.
