W'ere still shooting for this Saturday Sept. 13th to pull off the Rally/Picnic. But just in case I was able to reserve the Pavilion at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve for Sunday Sept. 14th. For no addtional charge. Please check this CCDV forum Saturday morning for an update, if it looks like rain. If we do have to postpone it again w'ell shoot for Sunday, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Don - Sunday looks like the better day. You might not want to wait until Saturday morning, maybe make a decision on Friday. or maybe get a vote at tonights meeting on which day. Also a lot of people are going to Maple shade on Saturday.
Just some suggestions.

Good Idea maybe I'll do that.

I'm not so sure that you can change the date on such short notice ... especially since it's in the GasCap with a specific date. If you change the date, think about the possibility of someone showing up (as a result of the GasCap). You might run this past Joe Signore.

Steve w'ere still going to try to get it going on Saturday, if we get rained out we will shoot for Sunday, same time same place. However if it gets moved to Sunday WE WILL run it rain or shine . If it looks like rain either day and you don't want to bring your Vette bring another car. A decision will be made and posted by 10am Saturday about the weather.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying you are running BOTH days if the weather is okay? Did you talk to Joe?

No are not going to run the Rally on both Saturday and Sunday Steve.
We will attempt to run the Rally Saturday September 13.
If it rains Saturday we will postpone it again.
We will then run the Rally Sunday September 14 whether it rains or not.
We cannot or I will not reshedule a fourth rain date for this picnic. The Rally is easy to reschedule but rescheduling the Picnic is a BIG pain in the Butt.
Yes Steve I have been in contact with Joe. He promised me he will do all he can to insure a nice sunny weekend. However no quarantees.

Okay - I'm still confused ... you will attempt to run on SAT ... but will run on SUN regardless of weather? Are you moviing the date to SAT ... with SUN as an alternate date?

Question: Steve, are you registered for the rally?
If so, the rally is Saturday. In case of poor weather, it will be postponed until Sunday and will be a RAIN OR SHINE event. It's that simple.
If you are NOT registered, you are confusing members by making it impossible to get concise information.

It's obvious that the multiple threads are confusing - hence the questions. Does that make sense to you?
How can you say that a clarification is confusing people? *I* am the one asking the question ... for ME! I had to ask, as the GasCap says SUNDAY ... so, I guess that date is being changed to Saturday, with Sunday as the rain date. If that's what is meant ... just say so.
I have alternate plans for Saturday ... and was planning on going on Sunday (as had been advertised). Make sense?
(ooops - MY mistake!)
In my printed version of the GAS CAP the CCDV Rally is listed
for Sat. 13th on pages 1, 4, 5, 7 & on page 19 (yellow).
The last forecast I heard said rain that morning, maybe ending
early afternoon. Sunday should be ok for a dry start if you're
gonna postpone. Hope you can reach a decision by tonight.
I've been looking forward to this event.

MY GasCap say's the exact same thing as everyone elses (except Steve's), Saturday September 13th. We simply (up until now) added Sunday as a rain date AFTER the GasCap went to print.
So what you're saying is, now that you FINALLY figured out how to open the online GasCap... you're seeing different print than 580 other members!!!
Steve, you've got me stumped. I don't know what else to say to you at this point.

Talk about FOOT-IN-MOUTH disease! I had (mistakenly) written down Sunday on my calendar. When I saw the post about the SAT/SUN ... I mistakenly thought there was a plan to move up the date by one day ... hence my confusion. Now that I have opened my eyes, I see that I goofed big time!
Don / Joe - My apologies for the confusion. Hey - think of it as a ride in a Vette ... with lots of twisty-turnies!
All of that aside, yes Joe, I was able to open up the GasCap ... but only on a computer with Windows XP (hence the POSTS) ... as we talked about the potential possibilities of who can do what.

Mr Long
Why in God's name do you try to cause so much comotion on this website constantly?
You are unbeliebveable.
GROW UP DUDE and stop trying to always stir things up.
You have finally learned how to open the GasCap file.
Your next step now is to learn how to read it.

Steve now it's my turn to be confused. The last time we discussed the Rally/Picnic via email you told me that it would be impossible for you to attend. According to the posting above this has changed. Correct? This is not a problem, however I need to make sure I have enough food and Rally Booklets for everyone.
According to your previous post you will NOT be able to make the Rally/Picnic if it goes off on Saturday but you WILL be able make it on Sunday. Is this a correct statement?
I did make a grammer error in my previous post. It read 'No are NOT' it should have read' No we are NOT '. Stewpud spelchek nevr werks rite!

Don - Thanks for checking back. I goofed up with regard to the days of the event. I am booked for Saturday ... and was planning to stop by the Picnic (on Sunday), as I was going to be in Bucks County (In-Laws). I would not be able to participate in the Rallye - regardless of the date. Sorry for the confusion. Apparently, only Glenn is perfect.

Don,
I was at the meeting last night and I plan to attend the rally with my Vette and my wife either Saturday or Sunday according to what I read on the website Saturday morning. It all seemed very clear to me. (way too much thinking going on.)

Bill Burkholder can you put a lock on the thread called "Road Rally sign-Up" ? It has over 700 hits and climbing, the info is outdated. And I don't want people looking there for new info. Thanks Don T.

Nick - Just to clarify ... the original day of the original event (the one that was previously cancelled) was on a Sunday. I errantly assumed that the recheduled day for the September was also a Sunday (I goofed).
Not every one of the 581 members attend the meetings. I was not there, and obviously, was not privy to the spoken word.
Guys ... people make mistakes ... and some even get confused ... especially when there are multiple threads on the same subject.
Thanks for listening.
