Help, 1986 computer access

Need help on a 1986, does anyone have a clue how to get to the computer under the pass. side dash? I pulled the plack plastic lower panel but I need to get the upper panel that is carpeted down and I don't want to force and break anything. I have get to ebay and order a service manual. Thanks for and help.
