If you could have any Corvette ever made, any year, when it was new. Money is no object. You had to keep it forever and never sell it. What would it be?
1963 spilt window.(3)
2007 C6 Z06.........(2)
1957 283 cu.in. FI 4 spd........(1)
69-71 427 blue Tri pwr...(1)
68 Baldwin Motion Phase III Blue with white stripe down the middle and tail................................(1)
1967 L88 .......................(10)
1953 EX122....................(1)
This is my first vette and I still get excited every time I pull it out of the garage. I've put a lot of work into getting this the way I want it and don't ever see myself selling it. I'm 100% happy with what I have.
With that being said, that is a really tough question due to there are so many nice vettes out there and I sure a lot easier to answer from someone who knows all about every year vette. I would like to have a 1967 in my garage next to my 2002.

I had 2 used C3's, 5 C4's and 4 C5's, my pick would be a 2007 C6 Z06, never had one but they just keep making them better

63, split window coupe.

1957, 283 cubic inch, fuel injection, 4 speed, or 1967, 427 cubic inch, or, Jeeze, Don this is tough. I 'll go with the first choice.

That is a tough question Don, I always wanted a Red 63 coupe, but I think I would have to go with a 67 big block. That stinger hood is too cool.;bt

Wife says split window, and since she let me buy the C6 I have to go with that - I can't decide otherwise anyway.

1967 L88- If cost was no object (hey they made 20 of them)-that is the one !! One of the badest, best looking vettes ever produced. Second choice-2007 Z06.

Without a doubt, the 67 L-88 is the most awesome Corvette ever built.
A new Silver Z-06 would be next in line. That Vette looks like 200 mph sittin still.
Back in the 70s i had the opportunity to drive a 69 Motion coupe. OMG. That was a totally KICK A-s Vette. The Hone overdrive setup was pretty cool too.

I remember my first and only ride in an L88. It was a 68 and the ride happened at the Cavalcade at the old air base. It was about 27 years ago. I was there and I saw a guy in a nasty sounding 68 pulling on to one of the access roads to the runway. I walked up and asked him if his car was a real L88. He said jump in and we'll find out. It was a short ride (about 11 seconds). The acceleration was amazing. Nothing like the torque of a high compression big block. When the ride was over the driver introduced himself. It was Chip Miller.
I will never foreget that ride.

69-71 427 blue vert. Tri powered if that was possible.

Todd,
427 was 66-69 then 454 70-74. Tri-power went out with the 427. One big Holley worked just fine and was much easier to tune.

Ok Ok, I stand corrected. Make that a 69 vert.
427 of course! And the same blue that's like on Glenn's 02
What can I say.....I grew up with Mustangs:eek:

67 L88. Being that price is no object, there would be no reason for a second choice.

Well I guess since I won't ever be able to keep up with the horsepower wars...witness the rumored 600hp Corvette SS...I'd go for the '63 Split window.

Like Bob, I'd go for the L88 then an '07-Z06. Two fantastic rides.

The 1953 EX122 experimental prototype that was built in 1952 and Kerbeck currently owns. There is only one of these cars and five months after it's debut the 53's started coming off the assembly line. I saw it at Carlisle two years ago and was trying to find a way to drive it off the Fairgrounds without anybody seeing me.
I'm with Bob on my other choices (67 L88 & 2007 Z06).

I echo Bob Weiss - '67. Especially mid years that are convertibles (although that may not get me the big block). Although I love these years, I'm not a huge fan of the '63. I like them for the collectibility - but not my favorite.
Interesting how many people are voting for 2006 and 2007. I must say they look really good.
Never saw a vette I didn't like. Love them all!

Don, you really have a knack for getting people upset, especially those that own a C4. That is one ugly car.
