'Twenty-five minutes or it's free'
Chris and I headed to the meeting location for the Hot Dog run early and it was a good thing too. I pulled into the lot there were only 2 other cars there, I pulled up next to Todd's new C6 Z06. As I got out of my car 12:20 I smelled hot anti freeze, not a good thing. I opened my hood and there it was, the upper radiator hose pissing anti freeze all over the engine compartment. The other Club member directed Todd and myself to a auto parts store a couple miles away, we drove the car there 12:26. We borrowed the tools from the store, removed the hose took it in and asked if they had the correct hose and "Like no way dude but I can get it Monday" (blank stare). RATS 12:30 Todd finds one hanging on the wall that's the right diameter and we figure we can make it work. 12:37 We cut it, forced it to fit, replaced the anti freeze, wiped down as much of the engine compartment as possible drove back to the meeting location by 12:45 with 15 minutes to spare. Worked perfect the rest of the day.
A BIG THANKS to Todd, I doubt I would have been able to do it all in the 25 minutes it took both of us.

It was a great feeling getting our fearless leader back on the road.
I asked him if he wanted help ;hm and then I told him that i'm going with him.
It's not a situation ya wanna be on your own. Especially at the parts store.
We had to promp them on everything. That's the world we live in.

BUT, the best part is that I got to give back or help a
guy/friend that does so much for us. I would have gladly helped any of our members. It's no big deal.
But this was a big deal because of what kind of people Don and Chris are.

Don, It was a pleasure and I'm glad it alll worked out for you.

Cheers to both of you!;aw Todd;mm

Those hoses should be replaced every 5-7 years, I have had several customers have problems in my driveway. :(

Don,

Looks like it's time to use the Bryner parts discount. I'd suggest changing every belt and hose. Better to be safe than sorry.

Besides, you don't want us making jokes that your car is just like you.

If you need any help just let me know.

Best regards,
Mark

Carry a roll of black tape.Actually there are some pretty good tapes available that will seal in an emergency.

No "almost" train collisions, no fights with a tow truck operator, no multiple death defying rides to someones's house or Pep Boys.....LOL

Just your run of the mill Corvette camraderie. Nice job Todd!

It's great to read how CCDV members help each other. It shows the character of this club.

Thanks Todd.
