Good air today! Lots of good things happening to lots of racers. Many new personal bests.

My story: Took the C6 since it looked like rain. We hit a couple of drizzles on the way. The engine temp on the first run was @ 190. Car felt strong the entire 1/4 mile. When I got my timeslip I had a new personal best, 12.76. Second time shot I came off about the same engine temp and ran another personal best, 12.67. Both times the car hooked good and I had identical 1.965 60' times. We had elimination next. I continued to try to leave with engine temp @190. I won the first round of elims with another personal best 12.660!! 60' time was a 1.971 Going into the second round I spun a bit, went red with a -.027 had a 2.02 60' and still ended up with a 12.84. Not a bad day. This is all in a stock C6 A6 with street tires on. What a car!!:D

Tony,

Your car looked strong in all your runs today. How far did Devon end up going?

Thanks,
I guess everyone was right about getting some miles on the car. It felt about the same on every run except my last. Fun day though!

Devon got to the Quaterfinals along with Rob Farley. Rob went Red with a -.002, Devon lost to a white C4.

Well, in the Corvette Challenge I didn't do so well. I had lousy reaction times and that's what did me in. I lost in the first round by giving too much up off the line. But I ran my #.
I decided to run in real street in the evening race. My reaction times were much better, and was running my # without breaking out. I made it all the way to the finals. I dialed in at 14.06 and ran a 14.058. Broke out by .002 lousy thousands!
It was the first time I made it to a money round. So I got to race for free today! :D

Can't wait to do it all over again!

Now I have to go change my tires because I'm going to run an autocross event tomorrow.

Wow!,
Sounds like your C-6 is running strong.
12.66, stock on street tires. When are the BFG's going on? Congrats on your new best times.

Killer times Tony!!! I had a blast today and finally got that tree working for me, yeah, i know i've had long enough. Other than the ominous sky for the first part of the day it cleared up and so did the competition. Thanks to everyone for another great day, Liz says hi to all and she is feeling much better. P.S. It was nice to see that Blue C-5, oh, and Glenn too.

Doug, Congrats to you for getting to the finals in RS. Always a good day when you can race and come home with some money in you pocket.

Devon, you were killing the tree today, nice job, plus you put more than a couple of points between you and the other Rookies!! Cool!

Rick, tires won't be going on till next year.

Hey Doug, Nice driving. ;bc

It was fun getting back to the track after not being there for 6 months.

I was rusty even though I got a 1st round win, but my rustiness showed in round 2 when I had the race in the bag, lifted at the top to protect myself from breaking out and lost the stripe because of the lift by about 3 feet.:(

Tony & Rose, thanks for bringing my tires.

Mark, thanks for all your help.....

It was fun.

Devon, nice job. Way to get the job done and take advantage of my first round loss. For recored I cut a shitty light vs a very good one. With only a few races left its going to be hard to catch you. ;ps

Doug, Devon, Rob, great show!

Today was the 07's first trip to the track after completing the break-in "by the book". First and best run during trials was 13.10@110.72, and I was pretty satisfied with that being the car is still tight. 60' times were all between 2.05-2.10 until I went up against John Panuzzo. I dialed 13.15 and hit the tree hard with a .001 and then watched John close the gap with his 12.70 dial. What I didn't notice was that the car pulled a 2.01 60' time which launched me way under my dial. John started loosing ground at the top end so I hit the brakes but it was too late, I took the stripe at 13.02@93.71 on the brakes.

Oh man, I wanted to see this car in the 12's bone stock so bad I could taste it. I have a Vararam and throttle body spacer sitting here ready to go in so this was it's last chance. I decided to run one time trial and give it one last shot. And bingo, after seeing how much lower my ET could go on a good 60' time, I saw the board light up a 1.993! I just knew I had to be under 13.0. I picked up my slip and BAM, I couldn't believe my eyes... 12.768@112.57! Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Low 12's, here I come!

Thanks to Tony & Rose for the fabulous pit services, we couldn't do it without you, and to all the racers who help make it so much fun.

Well I finnally made a race. first one since April. I think that was the l;ast time for Glenn too.

I was surprisingly solid on the tree .04 and .05 lights until that -.03 redlight came on in the third round! Car ran right were it should with the weather and 500' DA at 12.95-13.00.

It was great to see everyone again. I will not make the next race and will try to make the Nov races.

I think I'm losing the 2/3 in my tranny, not sure..Feels like its lugging, very very SLOW shift.....but I'm running over 94 MPH 1/8, & 120 trap speed....

Hummmmmm...

1.64 60's, took a round, them busted out w/ a 1.56 60' & ran an 11.39 on a 11.47 dial.. very unlike me,,,,, very strange..Somethings up I know it..

Car is lugging off the line,, very slow to react,, its not "jumping" off the start..very slow lights..(slower than my normal slow lights...)
May need to get tuning/timing checked..

Something is not right off the line & into the shift...

Hey guys, I had a great time too. Good to see you all & Al after many moons. Even though I didn't make the second round my C6 ran stronger with each run. I dialed in a 12.9 figuring in it'd slow downlke my C5, but it didn't. Got the guy at the tree with an .048 light and let off before the stripe but still broke out with a 12.88. My 60 ft times were all over 2.01. Cannot wait for more miles on this baby! A set of tires and we'll all be in the low 12"s...;bt Sweeeet.

Sure was nice getting to the track on Sat. Felt like the wait was more than 6 months. My cars trans seems to be holding up, all of yesterdays passes were Nitrous runs off the line... Once again I did not check the pressure in my Drs before making my first time shot. So for my first time shot I blew the tires which felt like they spun for the first 60'. When I checked i had 30Lbs in them. What a waste of time that was. After making my second time shot I decided to Dial the car @11:00 , first round elimination I run an 11:29 for the win. Round two I change the dial to an 11:30 and then broke out by running an 11:02. i said to myself where the heck that that come from. put the car back on the trailer and then decided to run in Real Street. They had some really fast cars. In real street I made one time shot with a run of 11:11, my seond time shot something mysterious happened. When the third yellow came down I nail the gas pedal and the car just did not respond as it fell flat on its face. Julio from Cartek plugged his laptop in and found that the car had an engine misfire and suggested that I make my elimination pass without running the juice. I decided to dial the car @ 12:00 only to break out by running 11.80 against a Chevelle who also broke out but by less. Congrats to Doug for maiking to the finals. Nice to see the rest of he CCDV Racing team, congrats to those that went deep into the rounds and to the ones that went out first round just come back in two weeks and do it again.

Congrats to all who did well, Tony you were right on and Joe you did well for the first time out. You didn't forget how to hit those lights. I was happy with the 03', car was running well, first time trial I ran equal to my personal best of 12.068, the second trial we ran a 12.031. I lost the first round with a terrible light. It was a fun day and I enjoyed watching Devon do a superb job on the lights and at the stripe. Congrats again Dev.
Thanks to Tony for the support and Rosie for the cheering, hope you are feeling better Rose. As always looking forward to seeing everyone next time. It was great seeing Glenn and Al being able to participate again
