Lee,
Congratulations on the win! Must have been the detailing that made the difference. Or... maybe it was the Hi-Po duck?
Best regards,
Mark
Nice job Lee,;bt CCDV did really well again. What a perfect day. Except for the one rain storm on the way home. Can't wait till next year.
And I still think that Glenn and Lee's daughter were robbed, that was no brainer.

How was the turnout?
The pictures above were taken only hours ago. There was about 1.5 miles of Corvettes lined up down the boardwalk parked in 2 rows...
The turnout was huge....
CCDV won Best Club Attendance..

You got that right Ron.
Marissa was robbed big time not winning that "Cutest Co-Pilot" award.
Look at these pictures and tell me how Marissa did NOT win Cutest Co-pilot. A little boy won the trophy. They obviously didn't see Missy.

Yes, Glenn and Marissa were robbed today. Marissa had a blast with "Uncle" Glenn today! "Miss America" Waving, cheering and talking his ear off. Many thanks to Glenn for coming down and staying with us with the threat of terrible weather on Saturday & Sunday.
Well every time we go to a show Jake always wants to win a trophy, and we never do. We always have a great time anyway meeting everyone and checking out all the cars. Well when they called for the best C5 in the show and announced Lee........ah Pav orsky we almost fell over. Jake let out a yell, then I did and we did a sprint to the podium to pick it up. Thankfully Don took our picture up there and then Glenn followed with one back at the car. Karen, Marissa, Jake and I were thrilled. Jake was beside himself the rest of the night. He was (is) so happy. It was a fantastic 2 days filled with great friends and fun. It doesn't get any better than this. My whole extended family together and a big WIN!
Credit where Credit is due: Mark Sandler (aka Carboman) and Glenn have been doing amazing details on my car. There is no question todays win today was due to their amazing work...............and a judge's good taste...LOL Thank you guys for givin' the "girlie" car an amazing beauty treatment.
P.S. I think Nick made one of the Judges an offer they couldn't refuse. He told me late in the afternoon "You know Lee, there are alot of C5's up here but I really think your is tops" then gave me a wink? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Thanks also to the lovely Karen for making everything go super smooth and letting us have our fun today!
Congrats to the club for participation award, and to Ron and Dr. Dave! Thumbs up

Wow! What a great day! Where do I start? First - a fun caravan down the shore started with questionable weather, but turned into a pretty nice day (except for the monsoon on the way home). When I got to the airport - Jake -Lee's son - came running up to me, rag-in-hand saying: "I'm ready, Dr. Dave". (He always cleans and polishes my chrome wheels for me). Up on the Boardwalk - I spent lots of time talking with Bob Weiss and Barbara, and many other CCDVers throughout the day. It was great to get a beautiful trophy for "Best Use of Color", although I'm still not sure what that really means! I was so elated to see Lee's face of shock and hear Jake's yelp when the Best C5 was announced - it was certainly well-deserved. Glenn was robbed TWICE as he, too, deserved the C5 box for his gorgeous blue beauty, AND the cutest co-pilot trophy. I was thrilled that Ron took home a trophy as well, since both of us were exhausted from answering that day-long question asked by hundreds of people: "did your car come with those doors?" It was great to see Ed go up to get our $100 for best Club Participation, too! The best part of the day for me, however, was that around 2:30, a fellow children's dentist and his wife from Bryn Mawr rode up on their bikes and were surprized to see me and my car on the Boardwalk. I explained that I came down "with my Corvette Club". They looked at me kinda funny as if to say: "C'mon - you don't really belong to a Corvette Club". Well, we stood there talking about the other member's cars all around us, and at least 20 people from CCDV who were walking by stopped to joke, tease, or just say: Hi Doc", or "Hi Dave." My friends look quickly changed to one of jealousy when he realized that I was, indeed, part of a wonderful bunch of guys! So thanks, CCDV, for making me feel welcomed into what I think is the best Corvette Club ever! By the way - they layed down the Racedeck floor this past Saturday at the new museum I am building at my office. I will invite the whole club out for "refreshments" when it is finished in the next month or so.

Congrats to Dave, Lee & Ron on for taking home the trophies!!!!! I have to agree, Glenn should have gotten cutest co-pilot. What a great showing for CCDV.
Would have loved to have been there but I'm having a garage built in the back yard in Nov so I spent the day digging up and moving shrubs to get ready, what fun!
Dan
Since both of us were exhausted from answering that day-long question asked by hundreds of people: "did your car come with those doors?"
Hundreds might be an under statment.... What really amazed me is the people that own corvettes that actually ask say "I didn't know that corvette offered that as an option, was that just in 2002?"

I looks to me like #8 & #32 have an unfair advantage in the drawing for the $100 :D
Thanks Glenn, nice catch I got it fixed.
I was in attendance, but did not have my Corvette with me so there is no $100 drawing in my future. I was driving my 6 wheel baby stroller. The weather was decent, we got down to the ocean, played games in the arcades, saw lots of cool cars in a unique place, and had lots of lemonade and boardwalk food.
I had a pretty unique view of the cars exiting the boardwalk. I was on the Wonderland railroad at the time and saw the exit from up high, that was slick. I snapped a few pictures while up there, but they're not that good. Glenn's pictures from up high (wherever those were taken from) are much better.

http://www.ccdv.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif Does anyone know who paid off the judges today?
Karen told me that when you pre-registered back in March she asked why is registration so high this year, $100 sounds rediculous, but you told her, "Just send it in, it's a great show and it's right here in Ocean City. Just write the $100 check for registration, it will be worth it, trust me"
Lee, your car is well deserving of the award and after all these years of hard work and dedication by you and Jake, it was great to see you guys get that award...
Jake's smile was worth the price of admission. :D

Congratulations to Lee, Dave and Ron for winning trophies and I get such a good feeling inside when I see club members win awards. Although it only takes 30 seconds to walk up and get the trophy, I know it takes hours to get the car ready.
I was also very proud to walk up to the podium and accepted the $100 award for best club participation. We had 33 cars in the show and this was an increase from last year in which we also won the award.
What a day overall. The camaraderie, the cars, the boardwalk, the people looking at the cars and of course the seagulls made it a terrific day.
Thanks everyone and another event that I am looking ahead to next year.

Man am I ever sorry I missed this one.
When I saw the forecast for heavy rain I quick ordered a shed to be delivered across my neighbor's lawn but it never rained that much so I cancelled it.
Congrats to Dave, Ron, Lee and CCDV for bringing home the gold. There's always Doylestown next Saturday.

This car also has Lambo doors just like Dave and I. For some reason he never had them up.
Also, I was just reading the article again in July 06 Covette Enthusiast, he has an ATI supercharger, the engine is rated at 729 hp at the real wheels with 667 lb-ft of torque. And I have a correction, it is a 2001.
