View Full Version : Thanks to Phoenix Performance
On behalf of CCDV,I just wanted to thank Joe,Andy,& Kurt for bringing their dyno rig to the Cavalcade. In spite of the weather and their incredibly busy schedule of racing and building, they still kept their word and came to the show. Those of us who hung around the dyno area certainly were entertained.Fortunately a possible serious incident ended being a " near miss",when pres. Bill B. & show chairman Pete C. almost had an intimate relationship with a dangerous piece of shrapnel from Bob Weiss's engine.BTW,who is the nasty guy who coined the nickname "Flatbed Bob"?

Richy, your Z06 was the best sounding of all the cars dynoed. It was a blast not only to see what our cars were putting out HP and Torque wise but what other people were putting out. Thanks Phoenix Racing. ;bt

Thank You Joe, Andy and Curt for bringing the dyno, we have to get a "Dyno Day" and tour of the shop!!!
Richy was the top for the day at 363.8 rwhp, Bob had some tuning issues before the bomb went off. His LT-1 was 325 rwhp the Roadrunner was way off also with 195 rwhp, that car should have been closer to 300+ rwhp. (440 /4bbl).

I posted a best of 298.2 HP and 307.2 lbs. of Torque. More importantly was the fact that I got to see what the A/F ratio is at WOT. I am running 11.5:1 at WOT, Should be around 12.5:1 for optimum power. Also with new plug wires I should pick up a few ponies. I was happy with my numbers. I had five pulls and they all were very close to each other in HP and Torque values. Car made more power as it warmed up. Torque curve was flat from 2000 RPM to 4900 RPM where it started to drop off. HP started at @ 150 at 2500 RPM and increased to Max at @ 5900 RPM on each run. Also found out that when fuel shutoff occured in fourth gear the car was running @ 138MPH, not that I would ever do that. :D
