I am interested in an after market service warrenty. Has anyone purchased one, or looked into them? The dealer prices are out of site.
Thanks
JoeP
I personally know a few people that did not buy the GM extended warranty, and the companies that they used went out of business and were useless. I would get the GM warranty after hearing their stories. :(

I bought an extended GMPP warranty from a Chevrolet Dealer that sells them discounted...
If you contact me I can tell you who I got it from. I don't think it's a good idea for me to say where I got it here on this website..
I will however tell you that if you contact me, I will give you all the info and you should THEN take that info to Bryner and see how they compare.
They say they want to be competitive especially for CCDV members, so give em a try.
You can also learn more about the GMPP wannanties here ====> GMPP (http://www.gmprotectionplan.com/)
PM me for more info if interested.
FYI, If you car is already out of the factory warranty period, you will not be able to purchase GMPP unless you are buying the car from a dealer and buy the GMPP at the time of vehicle purchase. The fact that you've mentioned asking a dealer implies that you're still in the factory warranty period, so that is good.
I haven't heard many good things about aftermarket warranties myself.
I have had at least 6 GMPP's. My main recommendation in that space is that you buy one with a low or zero deductible if you can afford it. If you've owned GM cars, you know how fun it can be to visit the dealer multiple times for issues and deal with the issue that they fixed something last time thats not directly related to the previous issue so you can pay the deductible AGAIN. I got nickeled and dimed on issues like that on my 2004 Grand Prix, 99 GMC Sierra and 97 Corvette.
I currently have a GMPP $0 deductible plan on my C6. ;tu
