Just wanted to let you all know that Pewtie's home. The old garage was sure a hollow and empty place for the last couple of weeks. :( Anyway, I wanted to really thank the great job the guys at Bryner's did for me. Pewtie was flat bedded over there on August 16th (move over "Shrapnal Bob!!") after I totally smoked my clutch ;yn and it crapped out on my way home from E. town.
Both Steve Fisher & Steve Spencer stood up and batted for me, which was really greatly appreciated! ;bt Especially after they were both hammered the last few weeks by irate customers and I would have understood if they had thrown me to the dogs. ;yn Yesterday, after Richy Josephs was kind enough to take me down there, Spence showed us my clutch plate and another one he had removed that also was worn out. The other guys was between 7/16" to 1/2" thick, with alot of chatter marks around the edge. Mine was worn down to between .100 to 1/8" of an inch. "Smoked" it was!! They fit me in, during a very busy time, and put in a new ZO6 clutch, flywheel and pilot gear, plus replaced the seals in my differential. Plus I did get the CCDV discount. Driving it home, the difference is amazing!! Of course, the weather being what it's been, I just drove along slowly, but, as Steve Spencer said, "She really flies!!" Can't wait for a nice day to really try it out!! ;bl

Once again, many many thanks to the Bryner people for their professionalism and for their kind consideration. I think these guys all go beyond just doing their job. Here's to you! ;bc;bc;bc

Mike, glad you got the Vette home! That whole clutch package was not good from the get go. You should be fine now and besides we should have the lift in by the next time you need a clutch and we can do the job for just parts. :D

Tony, don't sign up for changing a clutch in a C5 until you see the article in a recent issue of CORVETTE.

It's gonna be a beautiful day today, so, I think we'll take the top off and try out Pewtie's new clutch. ;bt No Carl, the critters didn't destroy my clutch. This critter did! ;yn It felt good driving home, but, it was a slimey day and I really couldn't feel what it really reacts. I let you know ! ;hw
