On our old website I was able to add events to the home page. This way club members can see what events are coming up simply looking at the home page and not having to navagate to specific postings within the various forums. Maybe a tiny step backwards would be nice.
Thanks:rolleyes:

Wow, sounds like a cool idea to me. Would be a lot more convient for members. Why didn't I think of that! Hopefully it won't be much of a transition who would take care of something like that, Bill or the web guy? It would help the site to become more user friendly because it is something familiar from the original site.

WebGuy doesn't frequent our site so you have to let Bill B know what you want done. Keep in mind Bill has family issues on his plate right now so its understandable if things move slower than normal. I looked through our mod controls and I don't see a way for us to do it without Admin privileges. We also lost the option to include our personal/private events into the calendar too. I used to use it all the time.

I'm not going to bother Bill about this he has his hands full. Besides the way I understood it Bill volunteered to resolve the problems that clubmembers have logging on not problems with the nuts and bolts. I've gone up and down this website also trying to find a way to edit the home page nocando. I just think it's funny that I cannot get an answer to this question this is the 3rd time i've posted this request in 4 months. I don't want to seem ungrateful or to cause internal upheaval but if we went back to the old website tomorrow i'd be just as happy. I find posting full size photos cumbersome. Copying and pasteing documents to this site then editing them is not easy. I honestly don't see any improvement. Maybe it is more secure and stable however the last 6 months with the old site was trouble free if I remember correctly. But no big deal it's only a website.

I hear you, but I think Bill is still the middle-man. I don't know if he can make those changes without WebGuys help and he has to initiate the dialog between us and WebGuy. Personally, I like the new software but it's not being used to its full potential.
