We head north above Easton and cruise around our old stomping grounds. A beautiful scenic fall tour. Around 150 miles round trip. We usually tell everyone to come with a full tank of gas and an empty bladder. Everyone gets a sheet of directions. This is not a race. We cruise and stop to eat and then cruise again. It takes about 5 or 6 hours. Rather impressive when the weather and participation is good. Hope to see you on Oct. 12th.

Thanks for the reply!
Sounds like fun! I like it up that way! We were just cruising that area a week ago, north of Nazareth thru Brodheadsville and went to the West End fair in Gilbert PA. Great part of the country for cruising.

Dennis - Are you going to have a stop half way along the route. Although I love this cruise I can't go the full tour and would need to turn around after a couple of hours and be back in Philly late afternoon. Two years ago you had a stop at a hot dog place and your map showed the reversed route.

Ed:
I'm sure there will be a mid-point stop to gobble the hot dogs. That's probably the best time to either contiunue on or take the return route home. UNFORTUNATELY, we will be unable to attend this year. It's the last day of my 3 day - 50 mile walk.
Joel
ps: This will be the 1st HDR we've missed in many many years! It's definitely THE BEST annual CCDV activity!
Dennis- I'll already be in Albrightsville/Jim Thorpe. Does the route take you close to the area? If so, could you provide a route/landmark and estimate a time you'll be passing by? I'd love to jump in for some portion of the cruise.

Joel, pick up the pace. If you do two twenty-five mile days you could still make the hot dog run. That should not be a problem, we heard you have been practicing. :p

Good one, Dennis. I'll submit your suggestion to the powers to be. However, I doubt they'll approve. Besides, our practice walks end at 20 miles. I don't think anyone will volunteer to extend the days to 25. We're staying overnight at Camp Green Lane. Does anyone know if that's close to the Sat. night car show in Harleysville?

Thanks guys for the replies! Maybe I'll hoof it over to the cruise night while I'm that close. I hear it's usually a biggie & worth checking out. However, I'll be Vetteless.

Must you be a CCDV club member to join the hot dog run?

You don't have to be a member. But you'll want to join after you participate.

The ad for the Hot Dog Run didn't make it in the Gas Cap for some reason. Spread the word to those you think would be interested.
