Very hot and humid yesterday at the track. They only got 1 round in before the rains came and canceled the race but the results and points are official. Making it into the second round were Joe S., Ellis, and Wheelz. A little too jumpy at the tree(red lighting) were Lee S., and Carl. However, Carl is more consistent than ever and will get his car into the 12's by the end of the season. Lee ran his dial in but was a little too hasty and went red with a .495. Lee changed his launch tecnique and was doing much better. Vince P and myself, well lets just say we should have had someone poke us with sticks to wake us up at the line. Vince ran a 13.26 on a 13.25 dial in but was treed while I broke out trying to make up for the time lost when I got treed. Next week will be better! Bob Lear raced again but boke out in the first round also. We did have a long wait for the first round to go off because of Buicks spilling fluids all over the track so the cars had a long time to cool off. All in all a good day of racing and hanging out.

Sorry I couldn't make the race. Had a relay and capacitor blow on my heatpump and I knew if I didn't get it fixed Saturday it would have to wait until Tuesday when I'm leaving town again. Well you get the picture.

Congrats to all who made it into round 2.

Yo Al...

Been there done that!!!!;yn

Next time come & race, & I'll fix you up the next day for sure!!!!! ;)

It was HORRIBLY HOT & HUMID! DA was OVER 3000 AGAIN!

Its hard to believe our cars will run .5 faster in just a few short weeks!

Anyone up for going to the AM session 9/6?

Street Wars, imports vs domestics..

NO Sunoco points pro/heavy racers allowed!

This event should be good......;yn

& great practice for the PM session Challenge...

Thanks El I'll take you up on the offer next time.

The water in the air makes a lot of difference along with the Barometric pressure. If the race was on Sunday instead of Saturday everybody would have been running .4 faster.

See everyone on Saturday.

I guess from Tony's post there will not be a makeup for the 8/30 makeup race. ;cs
