A new member has volunteered to host a Corvette rally this summer. Either a scavenger hunt or poker run etc, perhaps ending at Washingtons Crossing for a picnic or maybe ending at cruise night???

This is VERY important... I need a show of support for this event to get it off the ground. Just let me know if you'd participate if you can and ask others who may not be online if they'd join in. Without a core group of people it makes no sense to put anymore effort into an activity that requires strong member participation to make it fun for everyone.

Thank you.

YES Super interested in something like this, or a Road Rally as well ... which can be timed, or non-timed (non-timed is for accuracy in mileage).

Joe,maybe we ought to ask for a deposit? The number that then respond might be a truer estimate of the interest.NOTE:I'm only
half kidding.

Joe,
I'm in provided I don't have something already plan on that day.

Richy, I won't ask for deposits until I know there is enough interest in such an event.

But I guess it doesn't hurt to inform everyone that monitary support WILL be needed to pay for food or prizes etc. Although, we're only talking along the lines of burgers and dogs etc. It should be an inexpensive day if enough people pitch in.

FWIW - My interest is only in participation ... but not in paying for prizes or trophies. I don't think they are needed, unless vendors want to make contributions or donations.

Poker runs are fun.
Tony, Rose (TQO), Arleen and I participated in a Poker run a couple of years ago.
It was put on by an Antique Car Club and it ended at a park n Falls Twp.
At the end there were Hot Dogs and Burgers. They also gave out small prizes to those with the best hands.
We had a good time :D

Joe:
Depending on the date, count me in! I suggest we end up some place where we can buy our own food. But I don't have any problem throwing in a few bucks to cover any costs or prizes. Also, I have some very nice old "Award Of Excellence" wood plaques from a past Cavalcade that we could recycle or give out as is to the top finishers?

If it's a rally,my TR6 will be heart broken if I don't take it.

Does our non-profit status prohibit the club from picking up the expense of a prize or two?
