Can someone explain how to load pictures to a post? I have some pictures of the new orange 2007 taken at NCM and I would like to load them.

P.S. also don't forget to check box to re-size image or it may be to large for the page

I have a dedicated server I use. Use it to host clients web sites and my own site.
Kinda expensive though.

Thanks for your suggestions I will try to work it out tomorrow and I will let you know if I have any trouble. Already my images are too large so I will have to reduce them before I can go any further. I guess I took the pictures in too high of a resolution.

Bill, doesn't everyone have the option to upload small images, or is it only mods and admins?

Joe everyone can upload photos. I have a free program to resize photos and help out the members that have a problem.

Here's what I send to people on Corvette Forum who want to post pictures.
Below this I will post directions for resizing pictures ( they can be resized right on PhotoBucket too )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First, you'll need a host to link to the pictures. www.photobucket.com has free picture hosting. Sign up for a free account and then follow the rest of the instructions.
The pictures you send must be on your computer.
Log into your photobucket.com account.
Where it says " Add Pictures " , click on multiple pictures ( click on how ever many you'll be adding ) and then click " browse".
You'll need to go where you saved your pictures, usually " MY PICTURES "
( I use Kodak software, so I click on "Kodak Pictures" inside of "my pictures")
Click on the picture ( single pic ) that you want to add.
Repeat as many times as necessary.
Hit " submit ".
It will let you know when the pictures are successfully downloaded.
Then go under the picture and "copy" the picture description in here address.
That is what you copy into the thread post.
You can also copy the top line , it looks like this ---> http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/DCP_2034A.jpg <--- and click on the picture ( mountain ) just under the size box.
Hope this is easy to understand.
Ok, now for the next lesson, photo resizing.
( I'm assuming your on a windows machine )
Go to START and find " viewing booth " or "paint" . I use viewing booth.
Click on that and open it.
Click and pull down on "file" and click " OPEN"
Find where your pictures are and pick one. It should open in that window ( you should see it )
Click on "IMAGE" and then you can "crop" the picture if it's too much of the picture. ( not using all of the picture)
You can also change the size of the picture by clicking on "image size". I type in " 750" in the first line and the second automatically changes.
Then go back to file and I use " save as " ( instead of "save " and put an "A" after the series of letters. This way I still have the original full size picture) It then asks what quality to save it at. I usually use medium for CF unless it's a picture that needs the detail.
Then you download that picture to your photobucket account. The smaller picture take less room on your account too.
Hope I made this clear enough.
