This Sunday, 4/23/06 the Philly SCCA will be at Warminster Community Park.

All Corvettes from 63 to 06 will be running in the morning. Gates open at 8:00 AM with reg. from 8:30 to 9:30.

53 to 62 Vettes will be running in the afternoon. Reg. starts at 11:00 AM.

Super Stock Class -- 97 to 06
A-Stock Class ------ 84 to 96
B-Stock Class ------ 63 to 82
F-Stock Class ------ 53 to 62

Joe, If your Jaguar is a X-TYP 3.0 AWD then you will run in D-Stock. And D-Stock runs in the AM.

Hope to see alot of club members there. If you don't plan on running your Vette come on out to watch. It's alot of fun to just watch also. The racing starts at 10:00 AM. Who knows, maybe the next time the Philly SCCA comes to Warminster you just may decide to give it a try.

I'm in if the weather is good. Do they run it in the rain? Looks like the rain may be pulling out early Sunday. Hoping for the best, I am really looking forward to giving this a try. Will be there at 8:00.

I pre-registered with the Vette yesterday & there was already 112 registered before me, including Frank Gonzalez! If it's raining I might just take my daily driver (Protege' 5) & see how that does. It's always FUN! and there's another 6 or so race dates at Warminster this season so hopefully more CCDV'ers will give it a try!?! How can you pass it up when it's (legal & safe racing) practically right in our own back yard.

Doug, For my Jaguar it says DS is running in the PM - Heat 3 (It looks like DS is in Group A). Am I reading it correctly? http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=4845&psrnd=.35508546339054029653237247754035141041

If it doesn't rain I will try it with the cadillac. Still can't find a top for the C6 :(

If it rains, I'll bring Linda's Neon (pictured below). Would that still run in the AM session........

FYI: The way it goes is that those who race in the AM, are asked to help work the track snagging cones, etc. in the afternoon. Those who race in the afternoon are asked to help in the AM. It's called working the track but in-fact it's fun & you get to see how the other cars/drivers are doing plus it helps you to really learn the track lay-out.

I got hit while working the track once.....

Guy hit the cone and bam it flew and hit me in the chest. Was damn fun though.

It says on their website, "You will work the opposing heat within your session." Meaning, you are not required to be at both sessions, just work during the heat you're not running. It does not explain how they opperate the heats and whether you're going back and forth.

In any case, a friend and I are planning to get there early for the PM session with my Jag (DS) and his Audi (GS) if it's not raining steadily.

Had a great time riding through the course as Frank's passenger. Going at warp speed, sliding, turning, sliding and I think he even used to brakes once or twice. Thanks Frank. Billie

Hi Billie,
Just after you left, Frank took me through the course on his second run, we made it in just over 49. sec, at that point the fasted time of the day! That had to be one of the most exhilerating things I've done in my life! Frank was very kind to have done this for me considering that we had just met! My thanks go out to you Frank, you made my day! Yes Joel the weather was not the best, the entire day had very strange conditions. Rainy in the early morning, then a light mist, a heavy down pour then sunny! All in one day, wierd weather but a great turn out. Frank is a fantastic autocrosser to say the least as well as a great teacher to many. After our run, I spoke with another vette owner(sorry I have forgotten his name), he spoke highly of the help that Frank has given him. There were alot of ricers at the event but seeing the Lotus's run was neat! Hope that I can make the next one just to thank Frank again! WB
