CCDV.com will be changing to the updated VB version by next week. I would suggest that you back up any photos, or your signature just in case. Also make sure you know your screen name and password, you may have to log back on. There may be periods where you will not be able to get into CCDV.com during the change over, so please be patient.
Jeff our "web guy" has done a great job designing the "new look". I'd like to thank him for all his hard work and for helping me learn how to help our members with problems. As with any change you will all have a small learning period while navigating the new and improved site, again please be patient while you go through the learning period. Again thanks Jeff for all your help ;bc ;bt
Ummmmm....
The site seems to be working fine...
And has been.. SEARCH, PM'S, PICS, ETC..
Why are we changing to new software now that this version seems to be FAST AND WORKING 100%??
just curious...
Also, am I allowed to ask how much this costs?
I would much rather see the club spend money on things that we don't already have, that members could benefit from.. like a trailer, tire caddy, jack, tent, tech cards, yearly membership awards, etc..
Why are we spending money (if we indeed are), to updrade something that doesn't need to be upgraded?
I'm sure there will also be time & effort needed to upload a new version etc..
Again, I just don't see why...

The upgrade will be the same version as Corvette Forum is using now, it will have many of the same functions such as auto resizing of photos etc. The funds for new version were allocated two years and approved by the board, if I remember it was around $350.'s. The reason that the site has been running fine is that Jeff has his own server that can handle the ammount of space that we needed to allow the speed and less down time. Again I know that it seem we don't need the upgrade but I think that we need to freshen up the site with the new look. Bill

Looks very good. My only problem was I couldn't log in. A quick email and extremely fast replies got back on in under 5 minutes.
Thanks for your work on this.

Looks pretty good. Will we have the feature that shows new posts when you log on?
Thanks,

Mark, it's on the top bar between Calendar and Search. A lot cleaner looking than the old version.
