Chevy to pace Indy 500 for 17th time
According to an article in the Indianapolis Star, IMS president Joie Chitwood has confirmed that Chevrolet will provide the pace car for the 2006 Indy 500. Although the model won't be officially announced until April, speculation is that it will be the Corvette Z06. If the rumors are true, this would be the eighth time that Corvette has been chosen to lead the field at Indy.
