Tire Dealer for those who live in the north and don't want to drive to Philadelphia.
Bergeys Tire, Franconia Pa. (a divison of Bergeys Garage)
They have one of those touchless tire changers.
I ruined ruined a HRE rim on a pothole this week and decided to remove them and put the stock tires and rims on till summer. The problem was when I bought the HRE's I did not replace the air sensors. So the stock tires were removed from the stock rims.
I bought four new air sensors and was going to get Eppies to mount the tires to the rims, but they are an hour away. On a hunch I called Bergeys Chevy and they referred me to Bergeys Tire in Franconia.
I was concerned about the rims getting scratched and they showed me their tire changer. It looks like an expensive piece of equipment. It is run by a computor and is touchless.
They mounted the tires to the rim, balanced them with inside weights and cleaned them. I thought the cost was reasonable. The cost to mount the tires was $40. The computor balancing was $50. I will use them when I change tires on the HRE's and thought I would share this with those in the group who live in the north of Phila.
