Want to install side pipes on big block 67 rdstr. Does any supplier make real 2 1/2 inch pipes. A lot of suppliers make whole kits. Are any better than the others. Suggestions on installation or methods to make the systems work properly. Or do I just buy whole kit from one of the big suppliers and hope for the best. This is a really nice driver, not a show winner so efficiency is more important than originality..thanks brad

THE AFTER MARKET EXHAUST COVERS ARE NOT TO BAD, BUT THE TOP TRIM PC, YOU CAN NOT USE THE ORIGINAL SCREWS THEY DRILLED THE HOLE TO BIG(UNLESS THEY FIXED THAT IN THE LAST 6 MONTH) IF YOU GET THE STAINLESS PIPES EXPECT THEM TO BE LOUD. EVEN THE OTHERS ARE LOUDER THEN NEW OLD STOCK PIPES. DON

thank you for the information. can you email me directly or send me your phone number. I am still not sure which company to purchase from. Loud is ok as long as they last and dont fall apart. The car originally had side pipes. tthe previous owner installed stainless under car system. Even though they only have a couple hundred miles on them I want to go back to the original appearance and will sell the system i have nowl.. Have other questions about my 67, I had a 60 for 30 years but am new to mid year cars..appreciate any info..brad

Brad,
Allens makes a nice side exhaust system.
They are actually 2 3/4" .
I purchased a set at Carlisle 2 years ago for the 65 BB coupe I am building.
Rick.
