We, my wife and I, brought our 98 C5 used from Bryner Chevrolet in Jenkintown. I wanted your advice on their service department. I was told by our salesman that they have a certified corvette mechanic on staff there. Is this true? Are they good? Do they know what they're doing?? I've read all these horror stories on the CorvetteForum.com about dealerships damaging corvettes by not jacking the car properly, etc. Any advice is much appreciated. This is our first corvette and so far its been an amazing rush of excitement to drive. Thanks for all your help.

Steve Spencer is the best Corvette mechanic/technician on the East Coast if you ask me! Bryner does have a great Corvette tech in Steve. Bryner as you probably know is the sponsoring dealer for CCDV and they seem to take extra special care for club members!
I can give you one example of the extra mile they will go for a Corvette owner! I had my 2002 there for a differential leak. I left it over night on a Wed for them to service Thursday. They found Thursday they had to get the rear cover ordered in and would not have it until Friday morning. That was fine with me. They did call and explain and all was fine. The car was fixed under warranty Friday and ready to roll home Friday afternoon.
Here's the cool part. I never drive my car in the rain (if I can help it). Well as my luck has it, it was pouring Friday all day and predicted to rain all weekend. I asked them if they could hang onto the car in a safe spot all weekend and I'd get it Monday! They did. I went down there Friday night late to see where they had it. Well, it was up 10' on a lift, away from anyone even touching it all weekend!
I was impressed at the special care they took.
They also have done excellant work on the car.
I would suggest you go no where else but to Bryner for all your Corvette needs and service.
These are the guys to see.

I can only echo the sentiment Glenn reported. There's nowhere else I would go for dealer service on my Vette!
Two ;bt ;bt for the Steves at Bryner Chevrolet!

I had my C-4 to two other dealers... never again ...I only take my C-5 to Steve. I took my car in a day early for a oil change etc. because it was going to rain early the next day. They called around 3 and said that my car was done a day early did I want to pick it up before it rained. Steve is the only person who I will allow to work on my car. Bryner is, as Glenn said, one of the top Corvette shops on the East coast. Good luck with your car... Bill

Bryner takes care of their customers, that's for sure. I've tried 2 other dealers before them and both had damaged or neglected my C5. I switched to Bryner and they proved to me that there is a definite difference and having the two Steve's there is a big advantage for everyone. Bryner has my vote for Best Corvette Friendly dealer in the area!

Same for me! I was taking the '76 to a few specialty shops for service. I had a front end problem that no one could cure. I took it to Steve at Bryner & he worked wonders the very first time when no one else could! Minor service no problem locally, but ANYTHING major goes to Bryner! Plus they give CCDV members a nice discount!

Other than me, the Steves are the only ones that repair my C5.
They are the best!

I agree with everyone, the Steve's are the guys you want when it comes to Corvettes's. I have an appointment tomorrow and I know they will take care of my 96 as if I just bought a new one today.
