I have a nail in the right front tire of my C6. Is there a competent tire place in NE Philly that I can trust? Do they need special equipment because of the pressure sensors? The Goodyear warranty says that it should be fixed for free.
Eppies, Eppies, Eppies. Ask for Jay

Eppies is a good place. On Bustleton Ave, betweem Welsh Rd and Grant Ave.
As for the pressure sensors, it does not have anything to do with fixing a flat tire. Normal tire equipment works just fine.
The pressure sensors are your valve stems.
Here is what they look like:

They have really good heating & air conditioning in their waiting room...!

Since you live in Philly Eppies would be the place to go. If you lived out here in the country and didn't want to do any city driving then Goodyear Tire on Street Rd. in South Hampton would be the place to go. It's not so much the tire sensors but how they "fix" the holes in the runflats.
BTW, nice car!:D

Don't they vulcanize run-flats? Should'nt they be called run-rounds, since they don't really go Flat?
Who does their Heating&Air work  ;at

Not sure about the fixing for free part.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I was of the understanding
that after 50 miles they can't be repaired. I own 4 of em and I hope i'm wrong!

Todd, you may be correct..... You may want to read this for more info on EMT tires. Sounds like EMT's are good for 200 miles after a complete loss of air, but after 50 miles, the tire is pretty much unrepairable. Before 50 miles you can fix it and go.
Any tire once repaired though loses it's speed rating...not just run flats, but any tire.
