Plug wire retainer question

I just had Taylor 8mm plug wires installed. The wire retainers that GM offer will not fit 8mm, according to Bryner. I have called speed shops no one has anything to offer. There must be someone else out there with a 92 LT1 with 8mm wires. What did you do?

Hi Don,
When I changed mine out, the original retainers were brittle and trying to close the "clamp" over the larger wires would break the clip.
I ordered an OEM set from Corvette Central and although it is a tight fit, I made them work.

Thanks Pete, so far this seems to be my only solution. Nobody I mean nobody sell wire retainers for a LT1.

I put the Taylors on my 93 and got the stock retainers to work. Was a little bit of a chore and they were tight, but they worked.

Thanks. Maybe I can use a file or dremel to open it up a bit. But it looks as if the only people that make any type of retainers for our LT1 is GM.
