Has anyone purchased a Vette from Joe Conte? Is he reliable?

I can't say enough GOOD THINGS about Joe.
He is without a doubt the most honest, upfront, and reliable Corvette dealer you will ever meet. ;bt
I bought my 65 convt from him. He invited me to put the car on his lift to do a thorough inspection before I even drove the car, and it was there on consignment.
I have sent other people to him and theycalled and thanked me for recomending him. He stands behind what he sells 100%
I took Cliff Bray, a CCDV member and longtime friend to Contes.
We worked a deal and his mechanic was getting the car prepped and fixing little things that needed fixing when he found a seam where a rear clip had been installed years before. He could have just sold cliff the 66 convt but called to tell him about it. THATS HONEST.
If you go there tell him I sent you or contact me before you go. I will call him and help you along with your deal.

Thanks for the information - Joe has a few cars that look pretty good. I did speak to him regarding one he had and after I told him what I was looking for, he told me the car I was looking at was not what I wanted. Price wise, they don't appear to be out of line with what I'm seeing at other dealers or private and I was hoping if I decided to purchase from him, he would stand behind the product. Good to hear he's honest

I purchased my '80' - 4 speed (Blue with Osyter interior & only 2,400 hundred made with that combination) from him and he was great about everything concerning the sale. I called and he held the car a couple of days until I could drive down on the weekend.

It had 96,000 miles on it so their wasn't much talk about a warranty and after a month my clutch went. I called figuring what do I have to lose and he was willling to split the cost with me.

Every year I make it a point to say hi to him at Carlisle. For some reason I didn't see him last year.

Thanks Ed - I'm planning on running down there this Saturday. Also, funny running into you here. I used to prepare your Budget reports when you worked for Pru - always knew you had a Vette -should have figured you would be associated with this club
