We had a small get together at Mark's (carboman ) house today to just hang out, drink some Corona's, Cokes, eat hotdogs and play with some cool cars. Dave Bresler cruised in so we showed him a few Zaino tricks on his car. Dave's C5 has NEVER in 4 years had any polish on it, just bare bones Millenium Yellow paint.
His car came out looking pretty good after a ton of work . The three of us, gave it a Dawn wash, clayed the entire car (and there's alot of car to Dave's C5), then 2 coats of Z2 with Z6 apps on top of each of those Z2 coats. Dave and I did the claying and Zainoing while Mark did the wheels, tires and hotdogs. :D
Here's the finished product. You can see the shine down the side of the car pretty darn nicely.

After we cleaned the car, Mark showed Dave just how Zaino can easily take a tenth off the car's ¼ ET.

Glenn and Mark...you guys were fantastic today! I have NEVER seen my car look so amazing! The work that you both put in to teach me how to use the Zaino was way above the call of duty and not only much appreciated, but will never be forgotten! I turned alot of heads on the way home, too. Now that I've been bitten by the Zaino bug...I can predict many hours prepping and polishing again to keep the amazing shine you put on today. By the way...that G-35 that stopped in wasn't too shabby either :) Thanks, again, guys...David :)

Glenn,
Maybe you can talk to the guy that sold Dave his G35 and get one equipped exactly the same way!
I am sure Dave's yellow Vette looked great, I wish I was around to help with the traction tests. :D :D
I will need you guys to show me how to do the Zaino bit in a week or two... Its probably better if I just sit & watch you experts do it since you have the experience...
Didn't you guys post you'd always be willing to help out someone? haha.....
I seem to have forgotten, its been so long...

Yes we did offer to help out our good friends.
Bring it over. Only rule is you have to drive it in , can't come on a flatbed. :D
I'm sure YOU can handle torching the tires after the polishing.
Where's the line form,Glenn?

I'll have to get together with Mark and we'll set up a "Zaino day" and I'll post it here for any CCDV member to come on by and we'll all clean em up good and test the tires afterwards.
There actually was talk about doing this a little while back.

We'll have to make it happen.

Glenn,
I expect to come home from work one day and find a line around the block of Vettes waiting for you to apply 19 coats of zaino.
I'd be fine with a Zaino day. Pick the day but we'll have to start earlier and hopefully the cars involved will have been polished at least once before. We'd have to set some ground rules, you must bring your own Zaino (Carl, I'm in dire need of re-supply) and some sort of liquid donation will also be required.
This coming Saturday is looking mighty nice and with the Kahunaville cruise the next day timing is pefect.
Best regards,
Mark
Mark, I will be around most of this week, I will probably be away the weekend and early next week. Call me tomorrow. :)

Isn't Club Zaino meeting at the CCDV picnic? Maybe we can get Zaino'd (or at least some good pointers) there before the photographer does his thing?
In addition to revealing his identity,Deep Throat has also disclosed another heretofore unknown secret.CCDV is really a front for Carl's ZAINO operation.Originally set up in Laos by the CIA & handed over to Carl after their cover was blown, the ZAINO
conspiracy has managed to convert countless "detailing freaks"to
its products. These helpless dupes get the most enjoyment out of
polishing their cars & salivating as they look at their reflection in
the pristine mirror like finish. In response to their growing numbers,GM is considering offering an engineless Vette for the
extreme detailers.
P.S.For those who have relatives or close friends hopelessly addicted to this activity,de-programming is available.

And just think there are only a hand full on Zaino users here, on the G35 and BMW sites I have to go totally undercover, only about 5% of my local Vette customers are member here, who does the recruiting here?????????
