Tony: Rear Question

Would a Dana 44 3:54 rear from a LT4 work in my car. If you remember, the guy who dynoed my car recomended higher gear ratios.

I believe you have a Dana 36. The ring gear, pinion and bearings are different(larger) in the Dana 44. The whole differential is larger in the 44. However if you get the entire rear member and driveshaft and C member it'll fit right in. This is a great upgrade and just about bulletproof in an almost stock Vette.

This is an upgrade that I have been considering for some time. Every once in awhile you will see the entire set up on ebay motors.
When I get serious about it I will probably try Contemporary Corvettes first.
