Speedway White 2001 Z06 For Sale. Only 5500 miles, Maintained by Patterson Chevrolet in Hamilton Square ,NJ (Trenton). Only mod is elimination of skip shift but can be reversed, otherwise all stock.

What do you want for your car? I have several customers looking for a white Z06. Did you have the normal 01' oil issue? Did your dealer do the fix?

Many 01' Z06's had a ring problem on 2 cylinders, the fix was having new piston rings installed. I will pass this info along, thank you

2001 ZO6 all had the oil issue.

When thay are fix thay run great.

Is the 2001 the only one with oil issues? I've also heard of some problems with piston slap on other c5's.
What is a safe year when these problems were taken care of at manufacture?

2001 was the ONLY year for the piston ring/oil problem and it was ONLY the LS6 engine.

As for piston slap thing, that problem related to many more than just the LS1 & LS6 engines and it seemed never be defined as to which years. Some 2001's had the problem, some did not, same for other years.
The engines in the Chevy Trucks seemed to suffer the most from this problem.
