hello,
I am not a memeber but I know of the web site through Ed Bonk, who I know from our neighborhood and local bar. Im selling my 79 vette. I purchased the car for 6,200 about 2 years ago and have since put over 8,000 into it. the work has been done by a few dif places. The Vette Shop,Wes Casells (near pottstown), and a new engine was built and put in by Bob Schmidt he builds engines at alot of car shows right on the spot for people and supposedly does work on cars for people associated with the NHRA. I have all the receipts on all repairs since ive owned the car, it is garage kept and hasnt seen rain since ive owned it. It has a 350 V8 with around 300hp, I havent had it on a dyno but thats what I asked for it to have when he built it. I put about 1,000 miles on the new engine and about 2,500 miles overall since I've owned the original miles are 87,000 something the front suspension was rebuilt an aftermarket pioneer cd player installed, new seats, 4 speed manual tranny, new shifter console, new emergency brake cover, pioneer speakers in the front, new mats, new tires P255 60 R15 Good Years, new chrome oil pan, new polished aluminum vavle covers with flames engraved on them, chrome spark plug wire harness's, new chrome alternator
new starter, new battery, polished aluminum rims (original). its not the original paint color the factory was like a navy blue with dark blue interior . the interior is still the same but the paint is a medium blue metallic, i think it was an avail color on 1977 vettes. the previous owner did it himself, he used to be a club member. he had an eldlebrock triangle shaped air cleaner on the car and it caught fire and burnt the paint on the hood, he tried to say a golf ball hit it( i think the ball hit him in the head!) and the passenger door has a nickel sized chip in it which was there when i bought it, the passenger door guts need to be looked at it opens and closes but you have to mess with the handle and it only locks with key. it needs some interior parts to be perfect and with the hood and door painted it would look great( the rest on the paint is fine but to be perfect i would get the whole thing painted (which i had in my plans)it has chips on the nose and some spidering also. the ac doesnt currently work and i dont know whats wrong with it, its been that way since i bought it,the heater doesnt work either but i also never drove it in the winter. the windshield wipers just stopped working also but i never drive it in the rain but recently was caught in rain on the way home. which was a nightmare with no wipers. i've had alot of other stuff done to it mechanical wise but its to much to list but its all on the receipts. with so much invested im asking 12,000 but its negoitable. i want to get a newer one like a 1988 to 1990. i love the body style of the 70's and it was my first vette but anyone whos owned one knows its alot of work and money getting them right and i just had twins in march. up keep on a newer would be a little easier as time is a problem for me now. i can be reached at 610-845-8055 mon thru fri between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm afterwards 215-824-1791. i will provide pics for anyone interested. i live in N.E. philly off of academy road.

Thanks,
Mike Wohrle
