A friend just bought an 04 conv with 3000 miles on it. His car has been in his local VA dealer for 10+ days with no solution to the problem listed below. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

The vehicle has an erratic display malfunction
which is not always evident. The traction control light will
inadvertently come on the dash and then the message center on the dash
will indicate that every system needs check which then corresponds to
the radio going off. However, it does not happen all the time. If the
ignition is turned off and then back on, the vehicle may be okay,
however in a short period of time the display starts acting up again.

Glenn,

I agree but the car is in VA. I told my buddy to have it trucked up here and I'd gladly drive it back to him.

See you tonight,
Mark

Mark,
Has he tried posting on corvetteforum? Also why not just stop over
& tell Steve what's going on before trucking the car here.

Guys,

Thanks for your suggestions. My buddy is10days into this problem at his dealer. The next step is a factory engineer getting involved. There have been various codes displayed during this ordeal. It sure sounds like some sort of short in the wiring to me. Why else would the radio die along with the dash? So far the dealer has replaced just about every computer and relay they can think of. They were checking each and every connection to the gages, dash display, radio today.

Many thanks to everyone for their help.

See you all tonight.

Best regards,
Mark
