99 C5 I think my rear speakers have gone bad

I have a 99 and am okay with the stock audio system.

However, I think I have noticed that my rear speakers don't seem to be putting out the same as before. They are definitely quieter than the fronts.

I took off the screen and looked at both. One has a little cut in the paper on the very outside of the speaker and the other has the center bubble popped in but does not seem to be broken.

My question is, could it be both are bad or maybe something in their wiring?

Can I just put in a set from any year C5 to fix this?

All coupes are the same and Verts/FRC are the same. Coupes and Verts/FRC have different sizes.

Coupe = 6"

Vert/FRC = 5-1/2"

I have a couple of 5-1/2" Bose speakers out of my 99 Vert you can have if the fit!

Unlike the C4, which has an amplifier for each speaker, the C5 has one that feeds the rear speakers. The chances of both speakers failing are slim to none. I suggest having the radio amplifier checked out before you mess with the system. Becker radio @ Bustleton and Street Rd is good with Vettes, he is a little pricy but he does quality work.
