So its time to get new tires for my 2001 Z06. All 4 tires are basically bald so within the next day or 2.

What brands are good to get. Trying to spend under $1k for the tires.

Looking to get all season tires.

Had a HORRIBLE experience with a flat today

DO NOT put allseason radials on a Z-06. It's a sports car not a jeep. The Goodyear super tire or Michelin pilots. Go to Eppies on Buselton Ave. They have great prices and you should be in under 1k mounted, bal, tax. Tell them what kind of car you have and that you're a CCDV member. Bill

Michelin Pilot PS2's, Goodyear F1 Supercar (which you probably have on that car) or the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.

The GS-D3's are getting alot of good reviews from guys that have em.

They may be MY next tire.

All three are great tires.

Ellis has the PS2's and I know he likes them and I've been in his car at speed with them and they were smooth.

I have been using the Supercars for 3 years now, no complaints BUT I never use them in bad weather so I can not tell you about that part of them. The design is half dry tire tread (the outer half of each tire) and half wet design tread (inner half) Good idea, just not sure how well they are in the wet.

I would have recommended Nitto 555's like I have. They wear & track great and cost half as much as the Michelin's. ;yn But, too late.

Do they last as long though?

I've had mine since 2001 and they're like new. Guess they have about 15K miles. By the way, that includes a couple of days at Atco & E Town. All 4 cost me $ 629.00 at the time. ;yn
