I recently purchased a 2003 vert that had Corsa's Indy's installed. Under load the transmission does all kind of wierd things. The shift points are irratic. I assume this means I will have to get someone to work on it. Fist I have to ask if my thinking is correct and if it is where is the best place to take it to.
I will also say for those who have been asking, I think the Corsa's are great. I have the touring cat-backs on my 93' and they sound fantastic. The indy's on my 2003 do some popping but not as bad as i seem to hear from others. The indy's sound good but are to loud for my liking. I will probably purchase a set of touring pipes for the 03' and sell the indy's. The touring set has more of the 50's sound and in my opinion the Indy's are more of higher pitched europiean sound. This is only an opinion others may feel differently. Both sets are extremely comfortable at idle and cruise but when you get into it everyone knows you are there especially the Indy's.

Looking forward to your help on the Corsa/Trans question.

I don't think that changing exhaust systems would have any effecty on transmission shift points. If it does, I will have learned something new.

Sounds like you need computer pcm tuning to get shift points squared away..
Call Dale Cherry 215-659-8549 for a test drive evaluation & to set up a dyno tune with Bryan Herter of www.pcmforless.com

An "X" pipe on your system will change the exhaust note, and you maybe able to live with the Indy's, but adding exhaust would not change the shifting or shift points of your car unless a wire may have been damaged or pulled off the trans somehow.

If you are not happy with the high pitch of the Corsa check out Yo El's GHL's. They have a more muscle car sound and are very quiet in the cabin. As mentioned the X pipe will help with the popping . Have Steve at Bryner check your car out. Did you have the battery out for the winter? or did the battery go dead???? If so it may take driving it to learn the shift points again.

Thanks to all! I appreciate all your advise and comments, I called Dale Cherry and I have an appointment for the 15th of April. have off tomorrow and I will drive to Bryner early if it isn't raining.
Carl had mentioned the X pipe, does anyone know if tha Corsa x pipe is a easy installation or a drop in if you already have the Corsa cat-backs? This may be the least expensive way to go. Bill I appreciate your comments but I actually am happy with the Corsa's on both cars except the Indy's are louder than I would like. I will try the X pipe before doing anything drastic. The answer is "yes" the battery did go dead a couple of times prior to my purchasing it. Because of the weather I have not driven the car much since the purchase, possibly 200 miles, thats about it.
Thanks again for all your help and advise, I will get back when I find out something

Sorry, I just got around to reading the thread on the X pipe, that answered my question.

Talk to Dale about the "X" pipe, he has installed many. :)
